I can’t believe it’s been more than five months since Leanne & Tyler’s fabulous wedding at the Union Bank Inn! I started the day at Leanne’s Parents home for the girls getting ready before heading downtown to the Union Bank Inn for the ceremony. I love looking back at these photos and just watching Tyler’s face light up every time he looked at Leanne! It was so sweet! After the ceremony we headed off to the High Level bridge and to my favourite parkade for the “formal” photos. They had such a great wedding party too! We finished up the night back at the the Union Bank Inn where there were lots of laughs and lots of tears (my favourite!). We had such a great time and I”m so happy I was able to witness a celebration of so much love!!
Leanne had such a pretty dress!

So many pretty sparkly things!

Gorgeous flowers from the Wild Orchid Flower Shop!

I love Leanne’s Dad’s face here when he sees her for the first time in her dress!

Tyler looked happy all day long!

I love the exchange of the rings!

If you thought the Canada Day long weekend was busy with Ashley & Kevin’s and Ngan & Vinny’s weddings, well, that doesn’t even compare to following weekend where I photographed three fantastic weddings! Tamara and Cory’s wedding was the first to kick of that super busy weekend!
I met up with Tamara while she was getting ready in a fabulous suite at the Union Bank Inn and we then headed down to the Ballroom to do a “First Look” with Cory. I love First Looks! It’s just nice to share that moment with just the two of you! After they spent a few minutes together, we got ready to do their portrait session before the ceremony. It was just pouring buckets that day, so we stuck to one of my favourite parkades for their photos. Nice modern, urban feel for the photos, and still very pretty! After wrapping up the portraits we went back to the Union Bank Inn for a lovely ceremony and a few speeches! It was a great day with two fabulous people!
I love Tamara’s dress, it was gorgeous! I couldn’t stop taking photos of it, but here’s two of my favourites!

Oh, and her shoes! So sassy!

This fabulous bouquet was made by the Wild Orchid Flower Shop. Love it!

Oh! Just look at Cory’s face when he gets his first glimpse of Tamara!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of second shooting a fabulous wedding with Sheri from Capture It Photography at Shalom Park. I love the chance to second shoot because I’m not the one running the show and I get to try some different angles that I normally wouldn’t get to do otherwise, so it’s always super fun for me. Plus, I love being at weddings, so I go as often as I can! Kathryn & Lucas were a fabulous couple and I really loved getting to tag along to watch such wonderful people get married. Here’s one of my favourite wedding party shots from the day in downtown Edmonton on the way to the LRT.

Kelly and Dwight were married in Edmonton on the May long weekend which also happens to be my anniversary weekend. Impeccable taste, I must say!
Unlike most May long weekends, this one was warm! Although, sadly, filled with mosquitos (my itchy spotted legs still curse you mosquitos!), we still managed to get some bridal party photos outside. This is one of favourite group shots. Yes, the traffic over the bridge was deafeningly loud. Yes, there might have been a few too many pigeons flying about. But I thought it was totally worth it! Not sure if everyone else agreed, but look at how awesome it looks!? Thank you to a great wedding party for suffering it out for me! I really appreciate it! More wedding images coming later, but enjoy this sneak peek for now!

Deanne and Steve’s wedding was my last official wedding of the season in September and it was spectacular! I’ve always been a sucker for guys in kilts, and boy was I not disappointed!
Deanne was also pretty darned amazing in a gorgeous Pronovias dress (and it had straps! I hope dresses with straps are the next big thing for wedding wear) and she was sporting half an ocean worth of pearls – so very glamourous! Went so very well with the gorgeous bouquet from Marlow & Richards.
We left the Hotel MacDonald to begin the processional, complete with a rockin’ bagpiper, to parade through downtown to the Citadel Theatre for the wedding ceremony. I was joined by the very awesome Ryan Kelly from Ryan + Beth Photographers to help me document this fabulous day (Thanks Ryan, you rule!!). After the ceremony, we shot photos with the family near the waterfall downstairs at the theatre before heading off to Churchill Square and to my favourite spot near 95 St to shoot photos with the wedding party before returning back to the hotel to just shoot Steve and Deanne together. After the photos were done, we wandered in to the gorgeously decorated reception at the Empire Ballroom (overseen by Juli of A Modern Proposal and linens from Special Event Rentals) and enjoyed a magnificent 5 course meal and an entertaining round of speeches before the party got started for the night. My favourite part of the night was Steve’s twist on the removal of the garter… he was wearing it while Deanne got to take it off him! I love a good twist on a tradition!
It was a rocking good time and I’m so happy we got to be there to capture it all! Congratulations Steve and Deanne!

Last Saturday (July 31) I joined Lindsay at Sutton Place Hotel where she was getting ready with her girls in anticipation of her fabulous wedding day. Trish joined the boys at Lindsay and Cory’s home before we all got together for the ceremony at Convocation Hall. Before we got to the ceremony, of course, I had lots of fun photographing the details, like Lindsay’s beautiful dress and her awesome silver sequined Pumas that she wore under her dress.
The stage was set with a gorgeous backdrop from A Chair to Remember (which also showed up at the reception, looking gorgeous, along with fabulous table linens and chair covers) and beautiful flowers from The Wild Orchid.
After the ceremony, we took the family photos by the Arts building before heading off with the wedding party to Chintz and Co. At first we planned to just shoot outside with the awesome green walls, but a little bit of sweet-talking (by Trish, of course) found us shooting inside the store, surrounded by fabulous decor!
Afterwards, we headed over to Sutton Place for the reception that was absolutely spectacular and expertly co-ordinated by Juli from A Modern Proposal.
It was a beautiful wedding with two wonderful people and I’m so happy I was lucky enough to capture it!
