Winter was in full swing when Jack and Wendy got married in November at the Muttart Conservatory. Luckily they chose the tropical pyramid for their ceremony and formal photos so we got to stay toasty and enjoy all the beautiful greenery before going out into the white wonderland for a few last portraits. Congratulations Wendy & Jack!

Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Wendy & Jack | winter wedding sneak peek
Sunday, November 11th, 2012Yesterday I headed off to the Muttart Conservatory for a beautiful morning winter wedding with Jack and Wendy. We enjoyed the heat of the tropical pyramid for their ceremony and for most of their portrait session before heading out in to -16 degree weather to catch a few snowy portraits. We were in luck this weekend since the heavy snow fall during the week was still clinging to the trees and it made for perfect winter wonderland photos. I just love this snuggly photo of Wendy and Jack! Congratulations you two!

Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Kelly & Dwight’s wedding at the Muttart Conservatory
Wednesday, July 6th, 2011Kelly and Dwight share the same anniversary long weekend as Derek and I do and I was very excited to photograph their wedding. I met up with the girls at Kelly’s parent’s home for the getting ready and was instantly in love with Kelly’s sparkly silver Stuart Weitzman shoes. They were fabulous! Kelly had an army of ladies helping her get into her gorgeous dress before we headed into the backyard for a few photos before the awesome limo arrived to whisk them away to church. Kelly had a gorgeous white bouquet from Flowers By Merle (Coincidentily, that’s where my wedding flowers were from too!). The ceremony was at St Theresa’s and was filled with friends and family. Afterwards we headed to the Kinsman Park area for photos under the bridge before going to the Muttart Conservatory for the reception. The reception was absolutely fantastic, the dancefloor was packed! This was my first wedding with DJ Kwake from Urban Metropolis (who seems to be following me now since they keep showing up at a lot of my weddings lately… and I don’t mind, they rock!) and know I totally understand why they are so popular! Here’s the highlights from Kelly & Dwight’s wedding, thank you so much for letting me capture all the action!

Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Jaime & Bruce’s winter wedding at the Muttart Conservatory
Monday, February 28th, 2011Jaime and Bruce were married on a chilly evening back in December 2010. It was December 21st, in fact, the winter solstice, and it was co-o-o-o-o-o-ld! Luckily, inside the holiday pyramid at the Muttart Conservatory was nice and toasty where they had their intimate ceremony surrounded by a pretty christmas set. We stayed in the pyramid to do the family and group photos and we even ventuerd out into the -22 night to shoot Jaime and Bruce alone in front of the conservatory. They were so brave and managed to last almost a half an hour in the cold before we ran to the warmth of the Rose & Crown where the reception was being held! It was a beautiful night and I’m so happy we were lucky enough to be able to capture it all! Here are a few of my favourites!
