Amy and I had a fantastic time at Heather & Chad’s wedding is past September. The weather was great, the locations were beautiful and the people were fantastic… what more could we ask for?? I joined Heather and the girls at her parent’s home where they were getting ready and Amy met up with the guys at the Winspear where they were finishing up decorating for the ceremony. Seeing Heather’s happy smile made me know the day was just going to be perfect. After getting ready, we headed downtown to the Winspear Centre for the ceremony and it was beautiful. Chad was the most emotional groom I’ve ever seen and I love thinking about his tears when he saw Heather! After the ceremony we wandered over to the Art Gallery of Alberta for some photos and then went to the trails near Snow Valley to finish up the rest of the formal photos before heading into the lodge for the reception. What a great place for a reception, the room was gorgeous! We had some fun with the shoe game and the speeches (watch for my favourite little guy wandering through during the speeches… he was hilarious), we ended the night with some cake, some dancing and fireworks!! Congratulations Heather & Chad!!

Bridal Fairs can be a lot of fun but they can also be a little overwhelming! Be prepared to spend a few hours wandering around and checking out all of the vendors, you never know what you might find! There will be lots of draws to enter, so do yourself a favour and print up some labels ahead of time with your name, wedding date and e-mail address on them so you aren’t spending all of your time filling out forms. The best time to talk to vendors is during the fashion show since you aren’t competing with as many people for their attention and they’ll be able to spend more time with you. Have fun!!

I have pretty much maxed out the number of wedding photographers in Edmonton that I am able to help since I don’t want any more competition on that end. 
Wedding planners, florists, bakers, etc… they’re all fair game. And well, photographers anywhere other than Edmonton, I’m ok with that too. I have been working with two Edmonton wedding planners recently and I’m totally happy with the progress their websites have seen in such a short period of time.
