Yesterday I photographed a beautiful tablescape for a winter stylized wedding shoot. You might remember our lovely bride from a wedding I photographed a few months ago in Edmonton. Chrissy was awesome and did so well during our shoot in the little bit of snow we still have this winter. When Julia (an Edmonton wedding planner with Once Upon Your Day) and I started planning this shoot back in November, we were envisioning piles of snow… well, can I say that I’ve been happy about the lack of real Edmonton winter this year? The photos still turned out great. Here’s one of my favourite shots from the portrait session of the shoot. Stay tuned for a post on the full shoot with lots of pretty wedding decor inspiration!

It seems like forever ago since Robyn & Tom’s wedding at the end of August. I’ve been saving this gem of a wedding, and well, I just couldn’t wait any longer! It’s not that often (at all???) that you get to see a wedding that took place on an airplane. Yup! That’s right! Their ceremony was ON AN AIRPLANE!! Robyn and Tom are darn cool people, so it makes sense that they’d have a super cool wedding that was partially planned by my friend Juli at A Modern Proposal. Ok, are you ready for the awesomeness?
I loved Robyn’s yellow pendant.

The airplane hankie was a gift from her grandmother nd was just the perfect touch for the wedding theme!

Tom had fantastic airplane cuff links!

The girls got a little silly.

Just so you know… all of these shoes were Robyn’s…

Pretty dress, but it put up a good fight when it came to putting it on… probably should have taken the hanger out

Robyn was so expressive!!

Love this getting ready shot!

SHe might have been a little nervous…

In addition to photography, I have a pretty keen interest in SEO and do some work, time to time, for other vendors in the wedding industry to help them increase their web presence. I have pretty much maxed out the number of wedding photographers in Edmonton that I am able to help since I don’t want any more competition on that end.
Wedding planners, florists, bakers, etc… they’re all fair game. And well, photographers anywhere other than Edmonton, I’m ok with that too. I have been working with two Edmonton wedding planners recently and I’m totally happy with the progress their websites have seen in such a short period of time. Also helps that they are good people too, so I”m more than happy to do my best to help them get ahead. So, if you are in the market for a wedding planner, please check them out.

Yesterday afternoon I met up with Monica on the chilly streets of Edmonton outside of La Piazza Dasee near Whyte Ave. to take some photos for her newly revamped website. Monica is a WPIC certified wedding and event planner, check out her site if you are in the market for an awesome wedding planner. We’d been chatting over e-mail for the past few weeks prior to the shoot, but yesterday was the first day we met and I liked her right away! She was so much fun and very easy going, not to mention gosh darned adorable as you can see from her photos! We spent a little time outside catching the last remaining rays of the day before ducking into La Piazza Dasee to warm up. They have an awesome cafe area that I didn’t know about, and I just may deviate from Starbucks every so often to go back there!
Here’s a few of images Monica and be sure to go check out her website at www.aisleplanyourday.com!

When I woke up yesterday, it was cold and cloudy, and I was ok with that… but it ended up being a gorgeous sunny day for Jenni and Travis’s wedding in Edmonton. Jenni got ready at her parent’s house, sourounded by a small army of bridesmaids and family, and Travis got ready at his and Jenni’s home, and from what I hear, were being just a little goofy. The ceremony was in the lobby of the Winspear Centre and was just beautiful. I actually started to get a bit misty-eyed during the vows!
After the ceremony, we shot the “formals” by the Citadel Theatre, the High Level bridge (we had to drive through the Legislature grounds to get good parking – what a circus that place is for weddings! I’m glad we used more interesting and less populated areas for our photos), had the family shots at jackie Parker Park and finished with night shots at Woodvale.
The reception at Woodvale was lovely! The food, as always, was spectacular! The golf course had the softest grass and boy was I happy to just take my shoes off and wander around out there after a long day!
Congratulations to the fabulous bride and groom!
