We’re going back to May for this wedding… back to May the Fourth, to be exact, for Kate & Marc’s Star Wars inspired wedding that took place the Timm’s Centre on the University of Alberta campus. We started getting ready at the Timm’s Centre in the dressing rooms and I quickly whisked away Kate’s awesome dress to have a little fun with the dress shot. No one is supposed to upstage the bride on her wedding day, but this statue had other thoughts as he tried on Kate’s dress (It looked way better on Kate!). I’m a big fan of pretty shoes, so of course I had to get my hands on all of the pretty shoes, including Kate’s Mom’s! We tucked over to visit with Mark as he was getting ready and we ogled his awesome Star Wars cuff links and there might have been a light saber sighting or two as he got ready. The ceremony was in the lobby of the Timm’s Centre at it was beautiful… Kate and her Dad made a beautiful entrance high above the space before coming down the stairs to ceremony. There were a few more Stars Wars influences in the ceremony including the recessional song… just perfect! Afterwards we wandered around campus for some photos of the happy bride and groom with their wedding party before heading down near the river for a few more photos before they went to their reception at the Muttart Conservatory. It was a pretty awesome day! Thank you to Rachel from Rachel Foley Photography for shooting this wedding with me and congratulations to Kate & Marc! May the Fourth be with you!
