Edmonton Family Photographers | Spring Mini Sessions in April!

It’s time for Spring Minis!

Mini sessions will be available for the entire month of April can be session with Individuals, Couples, Families and just the Kids!

The mini session fee is just $75 (plus gst) for a 30 minute session and one 11×14 mounted silk print.

Digital session files can be purchased for $250 or are included with a product purchase of $350 or more.

A $75 non-refundable retainer (the session fee) is required to book your session.

Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Jennifer & Ryan | Hotel MacDonald wedding

Jennifer & Ryan’s Sunday wedding rounded out my triple header wedding weekend ( remember Mikalea & Bob and Sharla & Will?) with a beautiful early afternoon ceremony and reception in the Harvest Room at the Hotel MacDonald in Edmonton. We met up with Jennifer earlier in the day at Ryan’s parents’ place where she was getting ready. I fell in love with her pretty tea-length wedding dress the moment I saw it. I also loved the sentiment behind the pocketwatch on her bouquet that belonged to her Dad. After getting ready, Jennifer & Ryan did a first look before we headed out to do portrait with their motorcycle and then to Hotel MacDonald for more portraits and family photos before the ceremony.

The ceremony was perfect and I loved how emotional Ryan looked throughout. You’ll also notice Jennifer clutching a tissue in a few shots… and it was well needed! After the ceremony there was a reception in the same room and it was just beautifully put together by fabulous Edmonton wedding planner Kristina McAnally from Special Event Rentals with beautiful flowers from the Wild Orchid Flower Shop featuring a cool colour palette of red and aqua. It was a great day! Congratulations Jennifer & Ryan!

Edmonton Wedding Photography | Spotlight on the Ramada | Wedding decor & food

So, we’re going back to the past summer for this shoot that I did for the Ramada Kingsway in Edmonton for their ad in Weddings in Alberta. I’d never been in the Ramada in Edmonton and I was surprised at how big the ballroom was and how pretty it could be decorated. I really loved the aqua, grey and yellow theme with the white accents with linens and the centrepiece from Special Event Rentals. We called in Edmonton Wedding Planner Julianne Cragg of A Modern Proposal Event Planning to help complete the tables with some favours and table numbers she had on hand that went perfect with the colour scheme. There were lots of pretty wedding details to photograph… and then came the food!!

The food looked GOOD but it TASTED even better! Of course we got to sample everything after it was photographed and it was delicious. The Ramada can handle large weddings (up to 700 people i Think) in their spacious ballroom and it can also do smaller weddings as well and makes for a great wedding venue not far out of downtown Edmonton.

Edmonton Portrait Photographer | Couples shoot with Jessica & Trent in West Edmonton

We’re going back a little while for a couples’ portrait session with Jessica and Trent in West Edmonton. I love the location where we shot this session and I am still in love with the threatening skies… so dramatic!! I love this little abandoned building, it was such a cool background. Edmonton Event Photographer | Site 6 Events launch at the Trans-alta Arts Barn

I don’t mean to be neglectful to my poor blog… so much has happened since the summer that I haven’t posted yet, shame on me!

This gorgeous set of photos takes us back to September with the launch of Site 6 Events at the Arts Barn with some of the most stunning visual displays I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. There were awesome flowers by La Piazza Dasee, an awesome grass installation in one of the seating areas, a gorgeous tablescape orchestrated by ID Bohemia and Site 6 featuring flowers from La Piazza Dasee, stationary by Pinkpolka Design and linens from Elegant Touches.

Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Adam & Satomi | intimate wedding at the Legislature

Adam and Satomi were married in a very intimate wedding ceremony at the Legislature grounds early in September. There were just 6 of us there to watch them take their vows and become husband and wife. We followed up the ceremony with a few photos with their friends and had a quick portrait session before they went off to a fabulous wedding brunch. It was a nice change to have intimate ceremony without all of the fuss of a big wedding and you could really just focus in on their excitement to be married. I loved that Satomi wore red and she had the most beautiful flowers!

Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Anastasia & James | OTS Centennial wedding

Anastasia & James’ wedding was my 2nd of the weekend and it was still raining when I headed off to hang out with the girls getting ready and we feared the weather wasn’t going to co-operate for the day. It was looking a bit cheerier once the girls were ready to go to the ceremony at St John the Evangelist. Halfway through the ceremony, the rain dried up and the sun came out… and we knew that had to be a good sign!!

Look at how Anastasia’s Dad is looking at her, it’s so sweet!

Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Kathryn & Lucas | Sneak Peek

Last weekend I had the pleasure of second shooting a fabulous wedding with Sheri from Capture It Photography at Shalom Park. I love the chance to second shoot because I’m not the one running the show and I get to try some different angles that I normally wouldn’t get to do otherwise, so it’s always super fun for me. Plus, I love being at weddings, so I go as often as I can! Kathryn & Lucas were a fabulous couple and I really loved getting to tag along to watch such wonderful people get married. Here’s one of my favourite wedding party shots from the day in downtown Edmonton on the way to the LRT.
