It was a toasty day for Katie & Richard’s wedding at the Edmonton Hotel & Convention Centre, so it’s a good thing that Katie & Richard wanted to do all of their photos inside the hotel. We met up with everyone while was getting ready and I was super excited to see Katie’s awesome grey dress and her beautiful brooch bouquet! Once everyone was ready to go, we headed downstairs to the ballroom for the ceremony and then wandered around the hotel to do wedding party photos. I loved the room with the rock wall, it made the perfect backdrop for photos. Once everyone was all photo’s out, it was time to head into the reception. There were many laughs and tears during the speeches… I just love it when people show emotion at weddings! Once the formal part of night was down, the party was rockin’! We had such a great time! Congratulations Katie & Richard!

Saturday, March 16th, 2013Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Theresa & Rob | winter wedding sneak peek
Saturday, January 5th, 2013I ended my wedding season on December 30th this year at Theresa & Rob’s gorgeous Hotel MacDonald wedding. At any given time, the Wedgewood Room is beautiful, but it was the prettiest I’d ever seen for this particular wedding. It must have been the huge tree in the middle of the room that just pushed it over the edge… i’ll show some of those photos a little later on. For now, we’ll step out on to the terrace to for one of my favourite wintery formal photos from the wedding day with Rob & Theresa! Congratulations Theresa & Rob!

Edmonton Wedding Photographers – Jenny & Kerrie – chic downtown winter wedding sneak peek
Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013Jenny and Kerrie picked 12/12/12 as their wedding date and it was a fantastic, cold winter day in Edmonton. We started the Day at Union Bank Inn for the getting ready shots before heading to a beautiful ceremony at All Saint’s Cathedral. We braved the cold (-17!!) for a few outdoor photos before heading to the beautiful storefront of faBLOOMosity where we continued the wedding party photos. A huge thank you to Janine for letting us shoot in her beautiful store on that chilly December evening! The store is just spectacular looking and was the perfect backdrop for Jenny & Kerrie’s wedding photos. This one of my favourite shots of Jenny & Kerrie together!

Banff Wedding Photographers | A+K | Vermilion Lakes wedding sneak peek
Friday, December 14th, 2012We’re going to back to the beginning of September for this gorgeous photo of A+K taken at Vermilion Lakes in Banff National Park. I second shot this wedding for Red Bloom Photography from Calgary and had such a fantastic time. A+K were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Tunnel Mountain Resevoir overlooking Mount Rundle on a perfect early fall day. After visiting many beautiful mountain locations throughout the day, we ended the formal photo session with a few quiet moments overlooking the lake before heading off to Buffalo Mountain Lodge for the rockin’ wedding reception. I love Rocky Mountain weddings!!

Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Wendy & Jack | winter wedding sneak peek
Sunday, November 11th, 2012Yesterday I headed off to the Muttart Conservatory for a beautiful morning winter wedding with Jack and Wendy. We enjoyed the heat of the tropical pyramid for their ceremony and for most of their portrait session before heading out in to -16 degree weather to catch a few snowy portraits. We were in luck this weekend since the heavy snow fall during the week was still clinging to the trees and it made for perfect winter wonderland photos. I just love this snuggly photo of Wendy and Jack! Congratulations you two!

Red Deer Wedding Photographer | Dan & Danielle | water treatment plant wedding sneak peek
Tuesday, October 16th, 2012Danielle & Dan had the best luck in having the most amazing weather for their wedding in Red Deer nearing the end of September. It pretty much felt like early August and couldn’t have been any more perfect for such awesome people. For their wedding party photos we hung out at the old water treatment plant and it was just perfect with a mix of brick and decay with gorgeous fall colours overlooking the river. I loved Danielle’s dress, it was slinky and fit her beautifully. Dan looked pretty darn awesome too! This is one of my favourite photos of them, snuggling together, and it’s just perfect in black and white!

Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Heather & Chad | Snow Valley wedding sneak peek
Saturday, October 6th, 2012I just love fall weddings! Heather & Chad were married on an absolutely perfect September day. After a gorgeous ceremony at the Winspear (and after watching Chad be the most awesome and emotional groom ever), we took some photos are around the Art Gallery before heading to snow Valley where their reception was taking place. Heather & Chad showed us a gorgeous location near the ski hill that I had never been to before and it was breathtaking! I will definitely be going back there for more photos! This is one of my favourites even though I think Chad is slowly slipping down the bank into the creek!

Red Deer Wedding Photographers | Maria & Kevin | Coronation Park & Black Knight Inn
Sunday, December 11th, 2011This one is taking us back to a glorious day in July for Maria and Kevin’s outdoor wedding ceremony at Coronation Park in Red Deer. I love outdoor ceremonies, I just don’t get to photograph them enough. There’s always lots of light, and lots of space to run around for different angles, and I don’t have to worry about my shoes squeaking on the grass
The weather was just fabulous with a little bit of cloud cover for the ceremony in the park. After the ceremony we stayed around in the park for some family photos and few of the wedding party before heading over to the most amazing building in Red Deer, which just so happened to be home to an accounting firm. I love finding unique locations, and I’m willing to bet that Maria and Kevin were the first to have their wedding photos at that gorgeous building. Lucky we were there and they were so nice to let us come inside when the sky darkened and Red Deer was pummeled with hail! After the hail let up, we ended the photos at the old train bridge before going to the reception to grab some details at the Black Knight Inn. Luckily, the crazy weather passed quickly so the drive back to Edmonton in anticipation the next days’ wedding went smoothly.
So, you think it’s funny to show cans of OFF!… i think the OFF! was a guest at about 90% of my weddings this past year… it was a bad time for mosquitos in AB!

Beautiful location for an outdoor ceremony if you are looking for a spot in Red Deer.

I love the last hugs and kisses before Maria is “given away”.
Canmore Wedding Photographers | Bethany & Jason | Silvertip Resort wedding
Monday, December 5th, 2011Bethany & Jason’s Canmore destination wedding was the last wedding of my three wedding weekend, and boy, it was a fabulous way to end a very busy weekend! Leaving Edmonton, the weather was so-so, but as I got closer to Canmore, the weather just got better and better! The ceremony was outside on a gorgeous plateau at Silvertip Resort overlooking the mountains. We stayed around Silvertip for most of the photos, although we did go down into the river in Canmore. The reception was also at Silvertip and it was just perfect!!
Just look at that backdrop for the ceremony! Stunning!

Jason was so excited when he caught a glimpse of Bethany stepping out of the limo.

Their nephew was adorable trying to ring to bell to welcome Bethany.
Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Anastasia & James | OTS Centennial wedding
Sunday, December 4th, 2011Anastasia & James’ wedding was my 2nd of the weekend and it was still raining when I headed off to hang out with the girls getting ready and we feared the weather wasn’t going to co-operate for the day. It was looking a bit cheerier once the girls were ready to go to the ceremony at St John the Evangelist. Halfway through the ceremony, the rain dried up and the sun came out… and we knew that had to be a good sign!!

Look at how Anastasia’s Dad is looking at her, it’s so sweet!
