From the many comments that I heard on the wedding day, it seems like Greg & Lucille’s wedding day was a long time coming! In fact, if I can remember correctly, they had been together for 23 years before they got married last week at an intimate ceremony at the Spruce Grove United church surrounded by close friends and family. There seemed to have been a good bit of teasing that it took Greg so long to get married.
The wedding was fun for me too since Greg is my second (maybe third) cousin and I got to see a side of the Dalton family that I hadn’t seen since I was about 2 feet tall.
After the ceremony, the wedding party and I headed off to nearby Stony Plain for their “formal” wedding photos. We first stopped at the little garden behind City Hall for the first round of pictures. It was a recent discovery while Sheri and I were cruising around town heading back from Jasper a couple weeks ago and it was just perfect for Greg & Lucille’s wedding photos. After a quick stop at McDonald’s for refreshments (it was a hot day!), we headed over to Rotary Park in Stony Plain for the last round of photos and this picture is one of my favourites from this location.

I love the look of a casual stroll (whilst fighting off mosquitos, no surprise there!) through the park and how the bride and groom are the only people in the world at this point in time. Congratulations Greg & Lucille! Here’s to another 23 years and so much more!

Last weekend found Edmonton in the middle of a heat wave for Whitney and Chayse’s wedding. Considering just how hot it was, you’d think they wouldn’t have been in the mood for hours of wedding photos… not the case though! They were willing and were happy to do it! After the ceremony, we headed out to Kinsmen Park to shoot near the High Level bridge and older houses in the park. We also went out back of the Old Timer’s Cabin to get some photos with the city backdrop, it’s perfect from that spot!
Here’s one of my favourite shots at the end of their formal session before we headed back to the Old Timer’s Cabin in Edmonton for their wedding reception. I stumbled upon this gorgeous spot by accident a few days before and just knew it would be perfect for wedding photos! I had such a great time with Whitney & Chayse and all of their amazing friends and family at their wedding! Check back later in the summer to see the complete post for Whitney & Chayse’s beautiful vintage-inspired wedding!

A few weeks ago I was in Red Deer for Maria & Kevin’s gorgeous wedding in Coronation Park. We we lucky to have great weather for the outdoor ceremony and for the bridal photos in the park. Maria had wanted something with a little bit of spice so we went for a sexy wedding photo in one of the gorgeous trees in the park. This is probably my favourite photo from he whole day (maybe to be rivalled by some of the photos during the crazy hail storm later that day!). More to come soon!

Well, here we are again, less than 24 hours from getting home from Patti & Raj’s fabulous rainy wedding yesterday and I’ve already picked a few favourites to show off. Well, I’m only ging to show one here and I’m having a hard time deciding which one. Yesterday was a very soggy day in Edmonton and I’m a little unhappy that my n0-rain wish wasn’t granted. That’s ok though, we made it through and I just love the photos from the wedding. I’m not not going to give all the details about the day in this post, I’ve decided to show one image out side of Convocation Hall after the ceremony where the rain stopped for just a little while before we all were whicked away to the reception. We did most of the “formals” before the ceremony when the rain just wouldn’t stop. That short window after the ceremony with just Patti & Raj was pure magic and so fresh and green! Ok, here’s one of my favourites… I love how happy and smiley they are! I hope you love it as much as I do and I am so happy I got to be their photographer!
