The winter tends to be a bit slow for Edmonton wedding photographers so that’s the time we get to have lots of fun and create inspiration shoots. Let’s rewind a few months to February for this wintery vintage-inspired tablescape designed by Edmonton Wedding Planner Julia Pringle from Once Upon Your Day. We had waited until February in hopes of having lots of snow… no such luck there! At least there as little bit of snow so things weren’t barren, but we were hoping for piles of the white stuff to complement this white and creme table set up with hints of red from the surrounding cherry trees. The fabulous rosette table linen and beaded chargers were from Elegant Touches, the chair covers and jewelled accents were from A Chair to Remember and the gorgeous cameo-inspired cakes were made by Style Cakes. The vintage-inspired brooch bouquet was by by the Wild Orchid Flower Shop. The retro chandelier was from my studio (originally purchased from Urban Barn). The menu card was from PinkPolka Design.

Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Wintery vintage-inspired tablescape in the Edmonton river valley
Saturday, June 2nd, 2012Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Aqua, Yellow & Grey Tablescape at the Delta South Crystal Gallery
Wednesday, May 9th, 2012I was pretty excited to shoot this gorgeous tablescape and sweet table design by Edmonton wedding planner Juli Cragg of A Modern Proposal Event Planning. The colour scheme is just WOW! with bold yellow, pretty aqua and modern grey. I love the paper-flower inspiration for the cake, cupcakes and backdrop. The overall design is fun and whimsical with the stripes mixed in.
The Crystal Gallery at the Delta South Hotel in Edmonton is a beautiful modern venue and I love the unique chandeliers in the room. It made for the perfect backdrop to the table setting which featured clear acrylic Chivari chairs, chargers and pretty satin linens from Special Event Rentals (swoon), gorgeous flowers from Akkiko Floral Artistry, awesome stationary by PinkPolka Design and a beautiful table runner and backdrop from A Chair to Remember.
And let’s not forget the amazing sweet table featuring a gorgeous cake, cupcakes, cake pops, macarons and sugar cookies by Bluebird Cakes! And the best thing to compliment the sweets? The signature Blue Lagoon and Hard Lemonade cocktails that matched the design perfectly.
The ENV Photography booth at Love Story Expo in Spruce Grove
Tuesday, September 28th, 2010This past weekend My hunny Derek and I headed out to Spruce Grove for the Love Story Expo wedding fair. I’m in love with all of my new sample canvasses, and I was pretty excited about the booth set-up because I had gorgeous flowers from The Wild Orchid (don’t have a florist for your wedding? You NEED to talk to them!) and I had a gorgeous decor set-up from A Chair to Remember! Look at the lovely black and white baroque gorgeousness!
The highlight of the show was the walk-off where I awarded a wedding photography package worth $2650 to the lucky winner, Amanda Berry, who will be getting married in Edmonton next May! A pretty nice prize, if I do say so myself! The walk-off was hosted by a pretty funny dude in a wedding dress from CISN.
I was so happy to have Derek working the booth with me because he is so darn outgoing and friendly, and well, me, I’m painfully shy of course! I’m always happy when I can spend time with him because I’m away for most weekends during the summer, and definitely haven’t seen him enough! Also a big thank you to Danita for helping out in the booth too!! Who’s Danita you ask? She’s one of the queens of linens from A Chair to Remember!
So, here’s a shot of the booth, or, at least, a corner of it!

Lindsay & Cory's wedding at Convocation Hall & Sutton Place Hotel
Monday, August 9th, 2010Last Saturday (July 31) I joined Lindsay at Sutton Place Hotel where she was getting ready with her girls in anticipation of her fabulous wedding day. Trish joined the boys at Lindsay and Cory’s home before we all got together for the ceremony at Convocation Hall. Before we got to the ceremony, of course, I had lots of fun photographing the details, like Lindsay’s beautiful dress and her awesome silver sequined Pumas that she wore under her dress.
The stage was set with a gorgeous backdrop from A Chair to Remember (which also showed up at the reception, looking gorgeous, along with fabulous table linens and chair covers) and beautiful flowers from The Wild Orchid.
After the ceremony, we took the family photos by the Arts building before heading off with the wedding party to Chintz and Co. At first we planned to just shoot outside with the awesome green walls, but a little bit of sweet-talking (by Trish, of course) found us shooting inside the store, surrounded by fabulous decor!
Afterwards, we headed over to Sutton Place for the reception that was absolutely spectacular and expertly co-ordinated by Juli from A Modern Proposal.
It was a beautiful wedding with two wonderful people and I’m so happy I was lucky enough to capture it!
