I don’t know if there are many Plamondon wedding photographers, I’m kinda hoping not, since I’d like to go back there again for a little wedding photo action. It was my first time venturing further north than Westlock for a wedding and I kept finding such great photo locations all along the highway on my drive up for Shanon & Allan’s wedding which was outside near the beach in Plamondon. Plamondon was such a pretty little town, but boy, that lake… just wow! It was so big it kinda looks like the ocean in photos! I admit I swooned a little bit when I wandered in to scope things out before the ceremony started and saw the dock and the rustic buildings on the adjoining property. It was the perfect spot to have and outdoor wedding and reception to have that gorgeous view all night and to enjoy the breeze off the water.

Since I don’t get to photograph blue-looking water very often, we stuck pretty close to the beach for most of the photos (I might have been a little obsessed with water shots) and I just love this image of Shanon & Allan on the dock snuggled together. The sky was just perfect with a few puffy white clouds breaking up that big expanse of blue and allowing a little reflection in the ripple of the water. The water looked so enticing and it was a pretty toasty day, so I was tempted to wade in a little but it was full of blue algae so I had to stay out (and perhaps pouted about that a little bit!). I’m looking forward to going back to go for a swim and hopefully photograph some more weddings!
