No, your eyes don’t deceive you… Theresa had three gorgeous dresses for her wedding day in the Wedgewood Room at Hotel MacDonald. It really could have been more perfect. The decor was amazing and Rob & Theresa, along with friends and family, put it all together themselves… including the focal point of the room, the beautiful big tree! After getting ready, Rob & Theresa had their “First Look” in the middle of the room and then popped out for a few photos before joining their guests for a pre-ceremony mingle (check out Theresa’s hot red dress!). Shortly thereafter, with a costume change, it was ceremony time and it was just beautiful with a pretty sweet moment celebrating their new family unit. After the ceremony Their were family photos and the GiggleBooth kicked off before a fantastic dinner was served. The evening was lively with speeches, a few serenades and, i think, the most surprising wedding first dance I’ve yet to witness! Congratulations Rob & Theresa!

Jenny and Kerrie picked an awesome date for their wedding – 12.12.12. Yup, that’s right, December 12, 2012. Pretty cool date! It also happened to be a super chilly day, but that didn’t stop it from being beautiful. I met up with Jenny at the Union Bank Inn for a little Bridal Boudoir before we started getting ready… I’m only going to show one of those boudoir shots… It’s good to be a tease! Jenny was surrounded by some pretty fantastic ladies while she got ready. Once everyone was all dolled up, we went to the ceremony at All Saints Cathedral a few blocks away. After the ceremony we braved the cold to shoot outside near Grant McEwan before going to faBLOOMosity for thei indoor wedding photos (The Wild Orchid did the flowers for the wedding, but faBLOOMosity let us shoot in their beautiful store… Thanks Janine!) After leaving the shop, we stopped to get a few more outside shots before going back to the Union Bank Inn for the reception that was perfectly pink and vintage featuring lace and pearls… gorgeous!! It was a great day! Congratulations Jenny & Kerrie!

Winter was in full swing when Jack and Wendy got married in November at the Muttart Conservatory. Luckily they chose the tropical pyramid for their ceremony and formal photos so we got to stay toasty and enjoy all the beautiful greenery before going out into the white wonderland for a few last portraits. Katie & Chris were married on a chilly October day just before the neverending winter came to Edmonton. I joined Katie at her parents’ home for getting ready and fell in love with her red shoes and beautiful gown. Amy hung out with Chris and the boys while they were getting ready and we all met up at the Riverbend United Church for the beautiful ceremony. Afterwards we braved the wind and the rain for formal photos on the U of A grounds and in Mill Creek Ravine before heading off for a few minutes to catch their entrance to the Reception at the Riverview Room at the Shaw Conference Centre. It was a great day and it was my last wedding that I had Amy along with me before she moved to Newfoundland. Congratulations Katie & Chris!!
Red Deer Wedding Photographers | Danielle & Dan | Holiday Inn wedding
Danielle & Dan’s wedding happened on pretty much the most perfect day ever… summer temperatures and fall colours, just beautiful. Amy and I headed to Red Deer the day before to hang out and check out locations, so we were pretty excited when we could get in to check out the reception early to photograph all the gorgeous details in the morning before we went to cover everyone getting ready. Danielle had so much fabulous jewellery, I was over the moon happy to get to play with so many diamonds! One of the perks of having a jewellery store in the family! (If you’re in Red Deer and have a hankering for something pretty and shiny, check out Clowe’s)! After regretfully handing back all of the shiny things, Danielle got dressed in her gorgeous gown and I got to witness the sweet moment when her Dad got to see her all dressed up.. I think there were tears all around! Amy got to hang with the boys and have a pretty fun time before we headed out to the church for the ceremony. Afterwards, we went to the Old Water Treatment plant for formals photos… what an awesome location!! That was followed up by hanging with the statues downtown before going to the reception at the Holiday Inn 67. The speeches were sweet and it was a pretty great night of dancing! We also had the GiggleBooth going , what fun that was! Yup, it was a perfect day! Congratulations Danielle & Dan!
Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Heather & Chad | Winspear Centre & Snow Valley Wedding
Amy and I had a fantastic time at Heather & Chad’s wedding is past September. The weather was great, the locations were beautiful and the people were fantastic… what more could we ask for?? I joined Heather and the girls at her parent’s home where they were getting ready and Amy met up with the guys at the Winspear where they were finishing up decorating for the ceremony. Seeing Heather’s happy smile made me know the day was just going to be perfect. After getting ready, we headed downtown to the Winspear Centre for the ceremony and it was beautiful. Chad was the most emotional groom I’ve ever seen and I love thinking about his tears when he saw Heather! After the ceremony we wandered over to the Art Gallery of Alberta for some photos and then went to the trails near Snow Valley to finish up the rest of the formal photos before heading into the lodge for the reception. What a great place for a reception, the room was gorgeous! We had some fun with the shoe game and the speeches (watch for my favourite little guy wandering through during the speeches… he was hilarious), we ended the night with some cake, some dancing and fireworks!! Congratulations Heather & Chad!!

Digital session files can be purchased for $250 or are included with a product purchase of $350 or more.
A $75 non-refundable retainer (the session fee) is required to book your session.

Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Katie & Richard| Edmonton Hotel & Convention Centre Wedding
It was a toasty day for Katie & Richard’s wedding at the Edmonton Hotel & Convention Centre, so it’s a good thing that Katie & Richard wanted to do all of their photos inside the hotel. We met up with everyone while was getting ready and I was super excited to see Katie’s awesome grey dress and her beautiful brooch bouquet! Once everyone was ready to go, we headed downstairs to the ballroom for the ceremony and then wandered around the hotel to do wedding party photos. I loved the room with the rock wall, it made the perfect backdrop for photos. Once everyone was all photo’s out, it was time to head into the reception. There were many laughs and tears during the speeches… I just love it when people show emotion at weddings! Once the formal part of night was down, the party was rockin’! We had such a great time! Jasper Wedding Photographers | Ashley & Martin | Jasper Lake Trash the Dress
I had a busy weekend in Jasper when I photographed Ashley & Martin after shooting the fabulous stylized wedding shoot the day before (You remember the wedding shoot in the middle of the lake?) and couldn’t resit heading back to the lake after shooting in the pretty white trees near Pyramid Lake. It was a warm day so it was pretty refreshing to be in the shallow lake water after being in the hot sand dunes. I had lots of favourites from this Trash the Dress session… here are some of them!!

Jennifer & Ryan’s Sunday wedding rounded out my triple header wedding weekend ( remember Mikalea & Bob and Sharla & Will?) with a beautiful early afternoon ceremony and reception in the Harvest Room at the Hotel MacDonald in Edmonton. We met up with Jennifer earlier in the day at Ryan’s parents’ place where she was getting ready. I fell in love with her pretty tea-length wedding dress the moment I saw it. I also loved the sentiment behind the pocketwatch on her bouquet that belonged to her Dad. After getting ready, Jennifer & Ryan did a first look before we headed out to do portrait with their motorcycle and then to Hotel MacDonald for more portraits and family photos before the ceremony.
The ceremony was perfect and I loved how emotional Ryan looked throughout. You’ll also notice Jennifer clutching a tissue in a few shots… and it was well needed! After the ceremony there was a reception in the same room and it was just beautifully put together by fabulous Edmonton wedding planner Kristina McAnally from Special Event Rentals with beautiful flowers from the Wild Orchid Flower Shop featuring a cool colour palette of red and aqua. It was a great day! Congratulations Jennifer & Ryan!
